The Revolution will not be Televised

Considering it's George Soros who owns Yahoo.com, is it a surprise that their search engines have been actively blocking communications containing the phrase Occupy Wall Street and OccupyWallStreet.org?

Although Yahoo has been caught and apologized for blocking emails that contained content about the protests, doesn't this show the underhanded way those controlling our media act?

In my opinion, such dishonesty clearly shows why the current system is failing.

It's not just limited to Yahoo though; twitter has also been caught out restricting searches from America for content on the NY protests. A Trends map of trending twitter hashtags shows #OccupyWallStreet tweets surging in nations around the entire world, except in the United States. Twitter quickly reinstated #OccupyWallStreet tweets from America when they were caught.

Meanwhile in New Zealand, many of our mainstream media outlets are completely ignoring this story and the fact that there have been some protests in New Zealand as well. They are so blatantly ignoring real news in favour of irrelevant trivia that I wonder how biased they actually are? It's a point that Phoebe Fletcher makes as well:
Is this the point that we are at with journalistic standards of objectivity in New Zealand? That major news can fall by the wayside due to editorial slants? Where are the ethics in this? Or to put it another way, why would you read this newspaper anymore if it is clear that there is news that they are simply ignoring?
Today, hundreds of people were arrested on Brooklyn Bridge after the police blocked them off and then herded them together. With further reports of police brutality like that shown in the video below, one would expect at least a mention in our mainstream media outlets.

Such dysfunctional reporting is unacceptable within a so-called democracy.
